Acme Packing Company on Christian Watson

Watson's 100-yard game despite rib injury shows durability; faces Gonzalez travel threat.

Despite an in-game trip to the hospital for a rib injury, Christian Watson posted a 100-yard receiving performance against Carolina's split-safety coverage last week. Watson is one of two Packers deep threats (along with Matthew Golden) that Jordan Love has targeted most effectively against the blitz in one-on-one looks this season. However, Watson faces a critical matchup against Patriots All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who leads the NFL in traveling with receivers in man coverage and may shadow Watson on Sunday.
