Yahoo Sports NFL on George Pickens

Pickens' snap reduction tied to shoulder injury and run-game blocking limitations.

George Pickens' snap count has been significantly reduced in recent weeks due to a shoulder injury sustained in Week 7. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer confirmed that Pickens was taken off the field because of his injury and his inability to block effectively in the run game. Schottenheimer stated it "would be poor coaching by me" to keep Pickens on the field given these circumstances. Pickens remained on the injury report through the previous week.
