From the episode

It sucks because it's taking away from Jake Ferguson, and it's taking away from Brevin Spanford. But I wasn't really expecting much of Spanford, but I was expecting more from Ferguson. But he's just getting kind of phased out a little bit.

Jake Ferguson phased out; sleeper tight end thesis failing to materialize.

Jake Ferguson is being phased out in the Dallas offense, with his role diminished by the increased usage of Ryan Flournoy and other receivers. The source had drafted Ferguson as a sleeper tight end in double-digit rounds expecting low-end tight end volume, but that production has not materialized.
