He's really dangerous once he has the ball in his hands; Someone like Puka moves around the formation so much that having a DB follow would put the DB in a space that he's not used to; Getting him the ball quicker allows him to become more of a running back after he's caught the ball.

Nacua's movement and YAC ability make him a dangerous dual-threat weapon for Rams.

Puka Nacua is a primary offensive weapon for the Rams with dangerous after-catch ability and high target volume. Daronte Jones noted that Nacua is "really dangerous once he has the ball in his hands" and moves around the formation extensively, which prevents DBs from trailing him effectively. Jones emphasized that quick passes to Nacua allow him to "become more of a running back" after catching the ball, making him a dual-threat weapon in the Rams offense.
