The relationship between the 49ers and the player deteriorated after the injury, and the team voided his guaranteed money due to his unwillingness to rehab at their facility. He was placed on the reserve/left squad list on Dec. 13, 2025, and despite Rosenhaus filing a reinstatement request on Oct. 27, the NFL has not yet reinstated him.
