Dell's 2026 return from injury is murky; contract future uncertain despite X-factor status.

Tank Dell, the third-round pick (69th overall), enters the final year of his rookie contract with much to prove after a gruesome leg injury sidelined him all of 2025 following a dynamic rookie season. He remains the single biggest X-factor on the Texans offense, though the team has drafted three WRs in the last two classes to replace and mitigate his loss, and the new offensive coordinator and scheme favor two tight end sets that would limit Dell's opportunities.
