Yahoo Sports NFL on Fernando Mendoza

Mendoza's arrival as first overall pick gives Raiders offense clear direction and upside.

The source frames Fernando Mendoza, the Raiders' first overall pick from Indiana (Heisman winner and national champion), as a transformational quarterback capable of changing the math for the entire offense. The source notes that if Mendoza needs time to develop, Kirk Cousins can steady things early, but either way the offense now has clear direction. This quarterback upgrade is presented as a key component of the offensive reset that should unlock Ashton Jeanty and the rest of the Raiders' skill players.
