So me just coming in and putting on them pounds, I was scared at first... But training and being able to put those months in, not just on the grass but in the weight room too, just putting in the work, it made me feel lighter on my feet when I finally touched the grass.

Hunter's 10-pound muscle gain hasn't slowed him; 22.6 mph speed is elite tier.

Hunter gained ten pounds of muscle over the offseason for his second NFL season and reports feeling lighter on his feet despite initial concerns about the added weight. Now listed at 185 pounds, he reached 22.6 mph in speed testing at the Jaguars facility—only the third instance since 2016 NextGen Stats tracking began, behind Tyreek Hill (23.24 mph in 2016) and Raheem Mostert. Head coach Liam Coen noted Hunter "feels lighter" when running with the added muscle, and Hunter aims to reach 23 mph. The two-way player is participating in his first full practices since November surgery to repair his right LCL, which ended his rookie season after seven games.
