ESPN NFL on Kenneth Walker III

Walker thriving in under-center looks; praised for athleticism and screen-game upside.

Running back is benefiting from the Chiefs' increased under-center formations, which allow coach Andy Reid to evaluate his preferred running style—carrying the ball between the tackles. Mahomes and center Creed Humphrey both praised Walker's athleticism and playmaking; Humphrey called him "a dynamic player, a freak athlete and great with his reads." Walker also impressed on a screen pass from shotgun during second-team reps, gaining significant open-field yardage. The Chiefs are getting reps with Walker and other new backs to build cohesion in the screen game.
