It was about Week 3 I kinda started feeling my shin. I worked through it through a couple of games, got to Week 9, got it checked up, and found out there was a crack [in my tibia]. So I ended up getting surgery on it.

Horton's tibia crack healed well; cleared for Week 1 after avoiding PUP.

Horton revealed his season-ending shin injury from his rookie year was a tibia crack that began in Week 3 but wasn't diagnosed until Week 9; he had surgery to place a rod in it after the Super Bowl. Despite the fracture, he scored two touchdowns against the Commanders in Week 9 and recovered well enough to avoid PUP at the start of his second training camp, positioning him to be ready for Week 1.
