Jefferson participated in timing drills with Kyler Murray during training camp. Murray overthrew Jefferson down the left sideline during 7-on-7 work, prompting head coach Kevin O'Connell to gather the duo to discuss the play's rhythm and timing. Jefferson acknowledged the miscommunication: 'It was more of a timing play and a timing throw that it didn't really work as timely as we wanted it to. So really just talking with each other and having that communication is really, really key. Being on the same page is the main factor.' Later in the same practice, Murray connected with Jefferson on a deep right-sideline throw, demonstrating improved timing.
