Horton has since confirmed that he cracked his tibia. Got to Week 9, got it checked up and found out there was a crack. Ended up getting surgery on it. I feel good.

Horton's shin injury was cracked tibia; had surgery, cleared for camp, feeling good.

Second-year receiver confirmed that his vague shin injury from last season was a cracked tibia. Horton began feeling the injury in Week 3 but worked through it until Week 9, when imaging revealed the crack following the win over Washington. He underwent surgery with a metal rod inserted into his leg post-Super Bowl and recovered smoothly enough to avoid PUP designation and start training camp Day 1. Horton reports feeling good and the leg is fully resolved.
