STACKED’s take
Hockenson's QB upgrade to Kyler Murray and O'Connell's coaching make him a TE value play.
Hockenson was TE6 in ADP last season but now languishes as TE23 after a lackluster year in Minnesota. He finished as TE27, averaging 7.5 points per game with a career-low 8.6 yards per game, largely attributable to awful quarterback play from J.J. McCarthy; the Vikings ranked 28th in offensive EPA per game and scored the seventh-fewest points per game. Hockenson was coming off an ACL injury but people still drafted him highly. Now he gets a substantial quarterback upgrade in Kyler Murray, who will keep the ball moving better, yet nobody is interested in him. At 29 years old, Hockenson is a good bet to bounce back if you believe in the coaching ability of Kevin O'Connell.
