Allgeier has already proven that even when he is assumed to be the backup to a talented rookie, as he was in Atlanta, he is going to see far more involvement than any Love owners are going to be comfortable with.

Allgeier's proven backup role upside at RB47 cost makes him a low-risk late-round target.

Allgeier is a late-round target at RB47 (133rd overall) with minimal downside despite the Cardinals drafting Jeremiyah Love third overall. Allgeier has proven he sees far more involvement than expected even when assumed to be the backup to a talented rookie, as he was in Atlanta behind Bijan Robinson. Rookies, even highly drafted ones, rarely start the season with a full workload, so Allgeier could be a thorn in Love's side just as he was to Robinson's. If the Cardinals start Love off slowly, Allgeier could be a steal.
