Kenny Pickett begged the Eagles to trade him because he wanted to compete and felt he wasn't going to have a chance to beat out Jalen Hurts, according to his college coach. The Eagles initially did not want to trade him and said they would not make the move unless it was good for the team, but eventually agreed to trade him when the terms were favorable.
