Perine was drafted by Washington in the fourth round of the 2017 draft. He was waived prior to the 2019 regular season and claimed by the Bengals. After a series of waiver claims by the Dolphins and Bengals, he ended up as a rotational back in Cincinnati for the 2020 season. Perine signed a two-year extension with the Bengals in 2021.
