Stafford was deployed under center more often than any other quarterback in the NFL in 2025, a scheme wrinkle from Sean McVay that married the run and pass games with tight ends and receivers disguised as blockers leaking into routes. Stafford's PFF passing grade was better under center than in the shotgun, and the source notes he is one of the best processors in the league and a quarterback of an era gone by who excels in this facet while other quarterbacks lack the same depth of background.
