Johnson, who has played for 14 NFL teams since 2008, had one of his most impressive performances in limited Jets action: in 2021, after Mike White was knocked out by the Colts, Johnson played the final three quarters and passed for 317 yards while nearly leading the Jets back from a 42-10 deficit; with the Jets down 15 late, he had them in the red zone with over a minute remaining before a deflected pass was intercepted, but his three-quarter performance was exceptional and he never got another chance with the Jets.
