Jones fully cleared for training camp less than 8 months post-Achilles tear.

Jones was fully cleared for Colts training camp less than eight months after rupturing his right Achilles tendon on Dec. 7, 2025. He told The Pat McAfee Show he plans to be a full participant in 11-on-11 drills starting Wednesday. Head coach Shane Steichen confirmed in April that Jones was on track for full training camp participation after dropping back and throwing passes just five months post-injury. Jones' surgeon, Dr. Martin J. O'Malley, specializes in minimally invasive Achilles repair procedures and is the same surgeon who operated on Jayson Tatum; Tatum returned to play less than a year after his Achilles tear, signaling a breakthrough in recovery timelines.
