Kittle on PUP list to start camp; Week 1 status uncertain despite progress.

Kittle will be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to open 49ers training camp after tearing his Achilles in January. Despite optimism about playing in Week 1 against the Rams in Melbourne, he is not yet ready to practice. 49ers GM John Lynch said the team is happy with Kittle's progress and that the tight end is doing 'everything possible' to play in Week 1.
