Wide receiver Cyrus Allen is competing for the No. 4 receiver spot against Nikko Remigio and Jalen Royals. With the main core of receivers absent until Wednesday, Allen has been getting significant reps with Mahomes and Andy Reid. On Sunday, he was on the receiving end of one of the highlights of practice when Mahomes put up a ball for Allen to jump up and secure in traffic towards the back of the end zone. Allen is regarded as a strong route runner and has spent one-on-one time with Reid working on pre-snap awareness and coverage anticipation. He is the only one of the three No. 4 receiver competitors getting three days as Mahomes' top target.
