While his numbers in a relief role look good, his inefficiency shows up when given multiple carries. Jerome's poor vision results in frequent tackles for a loss or minimal gains.

Ford's poor vision and inefficiency limit him to change-of-pace role despite strong 2023 stats.

Ford was drafted in the fifth round by Cleveland in 2022 and had a strong 2023 season (813 rushing yards, 4 TDs on 204 attempts; 44 catches for 319 yards and 5 TDs on 63 targets) after Nick Chubb's ACL injury, but was relegated to third-down duties in 2025 when Chubb returned. While his 4.3 yards-per-carry average and highlight reels excite fans, his efficiency shows poor vision resulting in frequent tackles for loss or minimal gains; his 2023 efficiency ranks closely to another poorly-regarded Commanders running back. Ford also offers minimal special teams value, historically playing less than 10% of special teams snaps for Cleveland, suggesting his role would be limited to change-of-pace back rather than reliable backup.
