Wide receiver Cyrus Allen is taking advantage of time with Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid while the main core of receivers is absent from camp until Wednesday. On Sunday, Allen was on the receiving end of one of the highlights of practice when Mahomes put up a ball for Allen to jump up and secure in traffic towards the back of the end zone. Allen has been regarded as a strong route runner all offseason and has been tasked with improving on pre-snap awareness so that he can better anticipate the secondary's coverage, spending a few minutes listening to head coach Andy Reid in a one-on-one session between reps. Allen is competing for the No. 4 receiver spot against Nikko Remigio and Jalen Royals, and is the only one of the three getting three days as Mahomes' top target while the other two wait and potentially get lost in the mix once full-team practice begins.
