Rice's knee rehab is on schedule; planned partial participation in early camp.

Rice was absent for most of Kansas City's offseason program due to a cleanup procedure on his previously injured knee coupled with a short incarceration in Dallas. At the first training camp practice Wednesday, Rice left the field before the 7-on-7 portion to work with training staff on planned rehab. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed the plan had always been to have Rice partially participate in practice and then work with training staff, with the routine potentially repeated in early camp. Reid stated: 'Rashee and L'Jarius, we had planned to get some work in, and then they went up mid-practice and got some rehab done. It was all positive. It was planned. We'll gradually ramp them up as we go.'
