Kittle will be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to open 49ers training camp after tearing his Achilles in January. Despite optimism about playing in Week 1 against the Rams in Melbourne, he is not yet ready to practice. General Manager John Lynch noted the team is happy with his progress and that Kittle is doing 'everything possible' to play in Week 1.
