Third-round rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell II will miss his entire 2026 season after suffering a torn lateral collateral ligament during a non-contact injury in a seven-on-seven session on July 29. Initial reports indicated a moderate tear that could sideline him for up to eight weeks, but after receiving a second opinion, Brazzell and the Panthers pursued season-ending surgery as the best recovery route. He was expected to challenge Xavier Legette for the No. 3 receiver role behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker.
