Jefferson is working with both Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy during training camp to establish timing and communication. Early in camp, Murray overthrew Jefferson down the left sideline during 7-on-7 work—a timing play that did not work as intended. Head coach Kevin O'Connell gathered the duo to discuss alignment on the play's rhythm. Jefferson emphasized the importance of synchronization: "So really just talking with each other and having that communication is really, really key. Being on the same page is the main factor." Later in the same practice, Murray connected with Jefferson deep down the right sideline, demonstrating improved timing as the session progressed.
