Rush was signed by the Falcons following Trevor Siemian's release. He has the experience edge over undrafted rookie Jack Strand, having started 16 games over his nine-year NFL career with the Cowboys and Ravens, although he struggled in two starts with Baltimore last season. Rush and Strand are competing for a roster spot with Tagovailoa and Penix sidelined.
