Reed had a terrible 2025 (235 yards, 1 TD) but missed 10 games with injuries. Even so, he maintained his typical efficiency (9.4 yards per target, 9.3 yards per carry) and in his two prior campaigns proved himself a big-play producer (1,932 yards, 17 TDs). With Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks gone, Matthew Golden lost as a rookie, and Christian Watson never reaching 700 yards in a season, Freedman sees Reed as someone with league-winning 1,000-10 potential and didn't want to pass up that upside at Pick No. 93.
