Thomas' target share fell to 15% post-Meyers trade; boundary role limits 2026 upside.
Thomas' role deteriorated significantly following Jacksonville's Week 10 acquisition of veteran wideout Jakobi Meyers. His target share dropped to 15% from Week 10 onward (compared to earlier season), with over 35% of his targets coming 20-plus yards downfield and a go route rate of 29.9% (top-10), up from 20% in the first nine weeks. This field-stretching role resulted in underwhelming fantasy production: he averaged just 5.2 targets and 8.9 PPR PPG from Week 10-19, down from being a top-24 fantasy selection early. Thomas ranked 11th in routes run when pressed (197) but just 33rd in yards per route run when pressed (1.75), averaging 0.34 fantasy points per route. An early-season wrist injury likely impacted his ability to make plays over the middle. Given the receiver room construction with Meyers and Parker Washington also prominent, it will be much more difficult for Thomas to score fantasy points in 2026.
