Video: Feel It or F--k It 4.13.26: An RSP Podcast with Bob Harris and Matt Waldman
Jonah Coleman, Washington running back, 5'8 220 lb... is he overrated, feel or [ __ ] it? I think he is... I don't have him remotely there... his acceleration and his speed and his vision are compelling enough for me to believe that he can hold down a starting role... I did not think his pass protection was as strong... he drops his head so much... He's going to have to show me he's far more explosive and a slightly better decision-maker on runs towards, you know, off guard and off tackle where he needs to get downhill a little bit faster.

STACKED’s take

Negative signalBust

Overrated; pass protection flaws and questionable explosiveness limit three-down upside.

Bob Harris rates Jonah Coleman as overrated relative to consensus top-5 to top-7 running back rankings, placing him well outside his top tier. Harris questions whether the 5'8", 220 lb back's acceleration, speed, and vision are sufficient to sustain a starting role year-round. Harris criticizes his pass protection technique—head-dropping, weak punch, overextension—and compares his blocking flaws to De'Anthony Foreman's tell-giving issues. Harris sees Coleman as roster-depth/situational contributor only, requiring proof of explosiveness and downhill decisiveness to change his view. Coleman is good enough to make a roster and contribute situationally, but Harris is not sold on his three-down back potential and notes he needs to show far more explosiveness and better decision-making on off-guard and off-tackle runs where he must get downhill faster.
