NeutralRole

Ryan's 18th-ranked TE prospect grade and dual-threat profile offer upside as FB or receiving TE.

Seventh-round rookie FB/TE hybrid from BYU; ranked 18th among TE prospects by Dane Brugler despite being a combine snub. Scouting report praises all-around game with no noted weaknesses: urgent, controlled route runner who feasts underneath against zone coverage with reliable hands and creativity after catch; quick and physical as a blocker with ability to reach, cut off, or get outside defenders. May be considered for fullback position given former running back experience, but with no proven TE depth chart candidate, has legitimate chance to ascend depth chart or be stashed on practice squad.
