John Brown was a right tackle for the Cleveland Browns in the 1964 NFL Championship Game; he came to the Browns as a fourth-round draft pick after a career at Syracuse University where he played with Ernie Davis and became great friends and roommates; Brown blocked for both Ernie Davis and Jim Brown at different levels during his time with the Browns; he played five seasons with Cleveland before being traded to Pittsburgh in 1967 and playing five more seasons with the Steelers.
