STACKED’s take
Undrafted TE; John Mackey Award watchlist twice, polished prospect worth monitoring in camp
Undrafted tight end prospect and one of the top tight end recruits in the nation. Originally signed by Washington, spent two seasons there before coaching changes prompted him to transfer to San Diego State for two seasons, then Louisville for his final year of eligibility. As a receiver, Redman was used on simple routes, shows good hands, catches away from his body, and sharp hand/eye coordination. He is a technically sound blocker (not a thumping play style) with fairly nimble feet; consistently seals off his 1-on-1 blocks, staying between his man and the ball carrier whether downfield or at the line. Fairly polished prospect with adequate athleticism for his big frame, natural skills, and smooth, fluid movement. Was on the John Mackey Award watchlist twice for best tight end in the nation. Worth monitoring in camp to see improvement trajectory.
