Hopkins exploring coaching role with Patriots; not returning as a player.

Hopkins, a five-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler with 1,046 receptions and 13,770 receiving yards across 204 regular season and playoff games, is joining the Patriots coaching staff for training camp to explore post-playing-career coaching opportunities. Vrabel clarified that Hopkins is not in town to continue his active playing career but rather to assist offensive coaches and work with the personnel department. Hopkins has not officially announced his retirement from the NFL.
