Bleeding Green Nation on Jacoby Brissett

Brissett went 1-12 as Cardinals starter; team in contract dispute, no 2026 role.

Brissett led the Cardinals to one win in 12 starts in 2025, and the team is in a contract dispute with him. The source notes Brissett isn't wrong to hold out—he'd likely make more money as a backup elsewhere—but the Cardinals aren't wrong to refuse additional money either, as they have Gardner Minshew and 3rd round pick Carson Beck to tank with. The source concludes: 'They don't need Brissett, nobody does.'
