Tyler Shough, entering his second NFL season at nearly 27 years old, looked borderline incredible in nine starts as a rookie in 2025. With a full offseason as the unrivaled starter, further development is very realistic. If he comes out strong, the Saints will be poised to compete for the NFC South crown with arguably the best quarterback in the division. Shough's 2025 success came despite lacking offensive firepower and a struggling offensive line; the addition of veteran guard David Edwards, the return of center Erik McCoy from injury, and the young tackle duo of Fuaga and Banks should provide much-needed protection. The ceiling for this offense is near or at the top of the league if all stars align.
