Sixth-round Penn State back has late-round impact potential if he blocks.

Penn State's all-time leading rusher was available in the sixth round despite post-draft hype, bringing a physical, slashing style that should translate to the pros. The source highlights that late-round running backs can make an impact (citing Bill Croskey-Merritt as a seventh-round example) and notes Allen will battle Croskey-Merritt and veteran Rachaad White for snaps and carries; pass protection will be critical to earning playing time.
