Hogs Haven on Antonio Williams

Williams drafted to play St. Brown role; choice route skills suggest productive potential.

Third-round 2026 draft pick Antonio Williams was drafted by the Commanders to play both outside (Z) and slot (F) receiver roles. Commanders GM Adam Peters indicated Williams can play both positions. The comparison is to Amon-Ra St. Brown, who was extremely productive in Detroit's 2023 offense catching 119 passes for 1515 yards and 10 touchdowns in that role, earning a four-year, $120 million contract extension. Williams shows similar traits to St. Brown, particularly in choice route running and pivot/return routes that are commonly used in David Blough's expected offensive system.
