Hurts struggled significantly in the third day of training camp practice. He was sacked eight times according to SportsRadio 94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks, some due to quick pressure but others from holding the ball too long. He threw two passes batted down at the line of scrimmage early in 11-on-11 drills, overthrew Dallas Goedert, and overshot downfield targets to Makai Lemon. The offense operated more from shotgun than under center, limiting the timing benefits Hurts showed on Day 1. Overall assessment: Day 1 featured encouraging signs, but Days 2 and 3 reminded observers that the offense remains a work in progress.
