Covey leads camp in catches but unlikely to have offensive role; roster bubble.

Britain Covey has caught more passes than anybody the first few days of camp because quarterbacks love throwing to him; he is smart, knows the entire route tree, and catches everything. However, Covey only has 13 catches in three seasons (six of them in one game against the Falcons in 2024), and it is hard to imagine him having a role in this offense. He is the perfect practice player because he makes the quarterback look good. Covey is clearly on the roster bubble this summer; if he makes the 53, it will be because of his punt return ability.
