TE Joe Royer is projected to become the second tight end in Todd Monken's two-tight-end-heavy offense alongside Harold Fannin. Royer has drawn Travis Kelce comparisons despite not being an early-round pick. He demonstrates exceptional body control and spatial awareness, can contort to catch poorly-thrown passes, and creates good separation on intermediate throws with strong YAC ability. His best attribute is ball skills—he had zero drops last year and shows no hesitation going over the middle. He needs tutelage in blocking but is a good teammate, positioning him as a potential pairing with Fannin to form a "scary duo."
