Daily Norseman on J.J. McCarthy

McCarthy's camp comfort is expected given Murray's February arrival; not a real threat.

McCarthy looks serviceable in camp setting, but this is expected given he has no excuse not to look comfortable when his competition has only been in the building since February. Even if McCarthy still isn't ready to be a premier quarterback in this league, his camp comfort level doesn't indicate he's closing the gap with Murray; it reflects Murray's steep learning curve in the offense.
