Williams deployed as punt returner amid Corum's emergence; suggests declining backfield role.

The Rams have deployed Williams as the primary punt returner in 2026, a role typically reserved for specialists. This assignment suggests the source believes Williams may be losing ground to emerging running back Blake Corum, who rushed for over 700 yards and cut Williams' workload to roughly 52% of the team's overall carries. The source notes it is odd that LA would use their most expensive running back as a returner, and that Williams' contract suggests this is his last year with the team, raising questions about his role and future with the franchise.
