Polk retires at 24 after shoulder injury sidelined him entire 2025 season with Saints.
Polk, a 2024 second-round pick, retired from the NFL at age 24 after spending his rookie season with the Patriots (15 games played) and being traded to the Saints, where he spent the entire 2025 season on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. Though he participated in Saints training camp in 2026, he was excused from the past two practices due to 'personal things' per head coach Kellen Moore before being placed on the reserve/retired list. The source notes Polk would not have been a starter with Chris Olave and rookie Jordyn Tyson atop the depth chart, but likely would have been part of the receiver rotation.
