Allar exceeding raw-talent expectations with splash throws and growing comfort.

Drew Allar has played very well through the first week of practices, better than anticipated given overwhelming expectations about how raw he would be as a talent. He threw the splash play of the day—a 55-yard touchdown to Cole Burgess during seven-on-sevens—and also ripped a completion over the middle to Max Hurleman on fourth down. Allar is looking more comfortable with each practice and continuing to impress.
