Packers re-sign Castles to fill tight end depth amid injuries to Kraft, Musgrave, Maryland, and Lachey.

The Packers are re-signing McCallan Castles to address severe tight end depth issues; Tucker Kraft is ramping back from a season-ending ACL tear, Luke Musgrave is out with a neck injury, R.J. Maryland is dealing with a hamstring injury, and Luke Lachey (signed mid-June after failing his physical due to hamstring) is in a boot post-practice, leaving only Josh Whyle, Drake Dabney, Messiah Swinson, and Thomas Yassmin (international exemption) as healthy bodies. Castles has yet to play in an NFL regular-season game or preseason for Green Bay but has a chance to get that opportunity in 2026.
