A head coach said: "I think he is better than given credit for. Kyle (Shanahan) is great, but I think Brock Purdy, he can see it so fast, and he makes quick decisions, and he's more athletic than you think. Really good player." The 49ers rank third in offensive EPA per play since 2023, Purdy's first full season as their starter. Purdy is No. 1 in EPA per pass play over that span. An offensive coordinator added: "Purdy is so impressive to watch in terms of how he creates. The scramble game is awesome. He's really hard to sack. He's in a great system with great players around him. It's just a good fit."
