Patriots claim Palmer off waivers; sixth-round 2024 pick gets another NFL opportunity

The New England Patriots claimed wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday afternoon after the ninth practice of training camp. Palmer, a 26-year-old 6-foot-2, 210-pound sixth-round pick (No. 191 overall) from the 2024 draft, spent the majority of his initial two regular seasons on Arizona's practice squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster ahead of the Cardinals' finale in January, where he saw four snaps on offense and two snaps on special teams in his debut before being waived on Monday. The Patriots now have 12 wide receivers on the active depth chart.
