Kuntz claimed by Cowboys off waivers as Fant replacement; journeyman TE seeking opportunity.

The Dallas Cowboys claimed tight end Zack Kuntz off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders as a replacement for injured Princeton Fant. Kuntz is a former seventh-round pick of the New York Jets in 2023 who appeared in only two games across two seasons with the team and logged no stats. After being waived by the Jets in August 2025, Kuntz cycled through the DC Defenders (UFL), Miami Dolphins (futures contract, February 2026), and Las Vegas Raiders (July 31, 2026) before being released and claimed by Dallas. He now gets another opportunity to earn a roster spot in Cowboys training camp.
